Shaye Areheart - VP & Publisher of Harmony Books
She worked with Michael for 4 years on this project, traveled with him and saw a side of Michael that most never saw.
SHAYE AREHEART was, along with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Michael Jackson's original editor. With original Foreword by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, a new Introduction by Motown founder Berry Gordy, and an Afterword by Michael Jackson's editor and publisher, Shaye Areheart. "I've always wanted to be able to tell stories, you know, stories that came from my soul. I'd like to sit by a fire and tell people stories – make them see pictures, make them cry and laugh, take them anywhere emotionally with something as deceptively simple as words. I'd like to tell tales to move their souls and transform them. I've always wanted to be able to do that. Imagine how the great writers must feel, knowing they have that power. I sometimes feel I could do it. It's something I'd like to develop. In a way, songwriting uses the same skills, creates the emotional highs and lows, but the story is a sketch. It's quicksilver. There are very few books written on the art of storytelling, how to grip listeners, how to get a group of people together and amuse them. No costumes, no makeup, no nothing, just you and your voice, and your powerful ability to take them anywhere, to transform their lives, if only for minutes." –Michael Jackson, in Moonwalk

On Today's Show  -  Lee Greenwood  - "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

Few artists have ever written a song that has become more a part of America’s cultural landscape than Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” If he’d never written or recorded another hit, Greenwood would have secured his place in music history with that powerful inspiring ballad. “God Bless the USA” has been voted the most recognizable patriotic song in America, taking the top honor over “God Bless America” and the “National Anthem,” but it is only one of the many hits that have propelled Greenwood’s successful career. With his distinctive voice, insightful songwriting and unparalleled showmanship, Greenwood has been captivating audiences for decades.  (more bio)

Bruce Morrow "ROCK & ROLL …And The Beat Goes On"
Foreword by Brian Wilson; Preface by Petula Clark; Epilogue by Billy Joel
“COUSIN BRUCIE” MORROW, a veritable legend in broadcast history, is the only on-air personality in New York City to have a street named after him, and he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1988, and Broadcasting & Cable's Hall of Fame in 1990, National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2001. His autobiography, entitled Cousin Brucie: My Life in Rock and Roll Radio was a bestseller as was his classic, Doo Wop: The Music, the Times, the Era. “Cousin Brucie” recently signed another long-term contract with SIRIUS XM Radio, so fans can listen to their favorite broadcaster three times a week. I can think of no better music industry icon to bring this unique music and the era, to life for readers than “Cousin Brucie” Morrow. -Brian Wilson While the whole world was watching, turbulent and thrilling history was being made in the 1950s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. American kids were experiencing life through their favorite on radio stations. With a radio career spanning more than 50 years, “Cousin Brucie” became the voice of his generation – guiding baby boomers’ musical tastes for decades, while introducing the world’s most famous musicians to his dedicated listening fans. With a long and illustrious music career, and unsurpassed knowledge of the music and the times, this “King of DJs” brings his fans a colossal, heavily illustrated, and brilliantly colorful guide to the greatest music of all time. ROCK & ROLL: …And The Beat Goes On features more than 300 photographs, along with posters, album covers, record labels newspaper articles, magazine covers, poems, anecdotes, and quotes about EVERYTHING related to the Rock & Roll generation. Musical greats acknowledge Cousin Brucie as the man to bring this legendary music to the public, with Brian Wilson, Petula Clark and Billy Joel writing tributes for the book. With unique page layouts featuring the top of the charts music that surrounded the major historical moments encompassing these 3 decades, Cousin Brucie illustrates how songs have impacted our lives with everything we read, listen to, and experience. Capturing the musical style shift beginning with R&B artists in the 1950s, Rock & Roll captures the British invasion, the surfer sounds, Motown soul, heavy metal, the punk rebellion and beyond. As a bonus, Cousin Brucie notes the all time greatest artists of the era, along with more than 250 most-loved songs. In addition, Rock & Roll includes an amazing array of sidebars and stories about the history and background of rock and the world. Also, the Rock and Roll Dictionary section reminds readers of the slang they loved to use, from what was probably the best period of their lives.
Rock & Roll is about the music and the people. Every major artist presented here participated in the earth-shattering changes that unfolded over the decades, from the time rock started to roll, but also:

when Elvis swiveled his hips screams of teen girls – the horror of their parents
the attack of the Union Jack
the madness of Beatlemania
The British invasion of the Rolling Stones and The Who
Petula Clark, Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield celebrated ‘girl power’
Surfing songs and California dreaming came alive
Detroit Soul had kids dancing in the street
Hippies stormed a little New York town called Bethel and created a weekend of musical love and peace, known to the world as “Woodstock”
If Rock and Roll could be the soundtrack of our lives, when did the needle hit the groove for you? Rock & Roll: … And the Beat Goes On is sure to become a cherished generational heirloom from our own personal school of music – and the best times of our lives.

Geoff Edwards - Radio Personality
Edwards began his career while in college, working for a radio station in Albany, New York. By the late 1950s, Edwards headed west to Southern California, landing his first job at station KFMB . As a news reporter, Edwards was present in the basement of the Dallas Police Department when Jack Ruby shot suspected John F. Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963. He was one of the witnesses interviewed by NBC Television Correspondent Tom Pettit after the assassination. After a few short stints at other stations, Edwards was hired at KMPC in Los Angeles, occupying the 9 a.m.-Noon slot for several years beginning in 1968. He has also worked at stations KFI and, most recently, was a morning DJ with KSUR (now KKGO) in Los Angeles. One of the features of his radio show was "Radio's Answer Lady," in which listeners could call in with questions--some serious, some not so serious--and he would answer on the air, sometimes with serious answers, sometimes with quips. During that time, Edwards tried his hand at acting, appearing on I Dream of Jeannie, That Girl and Petticoat Junction. On the latter show, he met and maintained a very close friendship with Meredith MacRae. He also guest starred on Diff'rent Strokes and Small Wonder. In the early 1970s, Edwards appeared on The Bobby Darin Show as the straight man to singer Bobby Darin. After that series ended, Edwards pursued a game-show career; this began with Says Who? in 1971 followed by Cop-Out! in late 1972 -- however, both shows eventually turned out to be unsold pilots. His first full-time game show hosting stint took place from March through June 1973 on Jack Barry's Hollywood's Talking, a remake of a late 1960s ABC game Everybody's Talking and the Canadian hit Eye Bet. The program featured contestants watching a video clip of a celebrity talking about a subject; their job was to guess the subject in question. The series, which aired afternoons on CBS did not fare well and the network cancelled it in favor of the phenomenally popular Match Game remake.Six months later, in January 1974, NBC and Bob Stewart Productions hired Edwards to host the New York-based Jackpot. That series proved to be a modest success for Edwards, lasting nearly two years. The previous fall, Chuck Barris hired Edwards to host the weekly revival of the 1950s game show Treasure Hunt, entitled The New Treasure Hunt. He did the weekly version for four years (1973-77) and helmed a daily Treasure Hunt again for one year (1981-82). Other game shows Edwards hosted over the years included the New York-based Shoot For the Stars in 1977, Chain Reaction (as a substitute host for Bill Cullen in 1980 and a regular host from 1986-91, having taking over from Blake Emmons), Starcade, Play the Percentages and a revival of Jackpot from 1989-90. Edwards also was a substitute host in 1985 on Let's Make a Deal. Edwards is famous for his catch phrase, "Right you are!"

DEANA MARTIN - "VOLARE" (BUY NOW)
VOLARE!!! A wonderful piece of work! Much heart and soul went into this CD, a labor of love it is. Deana has long made a name for herself since her youth - breaking into television and films long before she sold music. She's an author, a performer, an entertainer, songwriter, actress, singer and follows in the footsteps of her father Dean Martin, in her charitable deeds. The music is a breath of fresh air, original, yet sentimental. There is much to celebrate on this CD besides Deana's crisp and delicate vocals, there's GRAMMY written all over this CD, by former GRAMMY winners, and I hope to see "Volare" set the standard for what's in store for the GRAMMYS 2010, members take note!

Marion Ross (born October 25, 1928) is a Golden Globe-nominated American actress, best known for her role as, "Marion Cunningham," on the TV series Happy Days from 1974 to 1984.
Born Marian Ross in
Watertown, Minnesota, she lived in Waconia and then moved to Willmar and eventually to Albert Lea, Minnesota. At the age of 13, she changed the spelling of her name from "Marian" to "Marion" because she thought it would look better on a marquee. After completing her sophomore year in high school, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and worked as an au pair while studying drama at the MacPhail Center for the Arts, and attending Southwest High School. A year later, her family moved to San Diego, California. She graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego. Ross enrolled in San Diego State University, where she was named the school's most outstanding actress. After graduation in 1950, she performed in summer theater in La Jolla, California. The director was impressed by her talent, and recommended that she try for work in films. Ross made her 1953 film debut in Forever Female, starring Ginger Rogers and William Holden. She found steady work in film, appearing in The Glenn Miller Story (1954), Sabrina (1954), Teacher's Pet (1957), and Operation Petticoat (1959). Her career on television also began in 1953, when she played the Irish maid on the series Life With Father for two years. Her list of credits spans the history of classic TV, from The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, The Barbara Stanwyck Show, The Brothers Brannagan (two episodes as Diane Warren), The Eleventh Hour, The Brady Bunch, Love Boat and Night Court. In the 1961-1962 season, she played Gertrude Berg's 33-year-old daughter, Susan Green, in CBS's sitcom Mrs. G. Goes to College. Ross' most famous role was in the long-running series Happy Days from 1974 to 1984, in which she played Marion Cunningham, mother of Ritchie, Chuck and Joanie. She later starred in the short-lived but critically acclaimed drama Brooklyn Bridge, which ran on CBS in the early 1990s. She also played a part in CBS' Touched by an Angel as a homeless lady who talked about the JFK conspiracy, and was in the final two episodes that closed out the series. In 1996, Ross starred as Rosie Dunlop opposite Shirley MacLaine in the Terms of Endearment sequel, The Evening Star. Ross has acted on Broadway and on film, but she prefers doing TV. In recent years, she played recurring roles as Drew Carey's mother on The Drew Carey Show; as evil Bernice Forman on That '70s Show; and as Lorelai "Trix" Gilmore and Marylin on Gilmore Girls. She also frequently appears on Hollywood Squares, and did voiceover work as "Grandma SquarePants" on SpongeBob SquarePants. In an episode of the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters that aired on January 21, 2007, she guest-starred as Ida, the not-so-loving mother of Nora and Saul, making an unwelcome visit to celebrate a milestone in her daughter's life. Ross lives in Los Angeles, California with actor Paul Michael. Her two adult children also work in entertainment: Jim Meskimen's credits include How the Grinch Stole Christmas and appearances on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and Ellen Plummer was a writer/producer on Friends. On Saturday, June 7, 2008, the Albert Lea Civic Theater in Albert Lea, Minnesota changed its name to the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center.

Annie Duke - "Celebrity Apprentice" / Professional Poker Player
Born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire, Annie Duke grew up in a family that had cards and competition in the blood. In a home where card playing was the glue that held the family together, everybody not only wanted to win but needed to win. Early in her childhood, Duke struggled to fit in as a liberal product of two teachers in a sea of conservatism and privilege on the grounds of the prestigious St. Paul’s prep school. Never feeling like she quite fit in, at the age of 18, Duke matriculated at Columbia University and thought to try her luck in the big city.
Pretty, smart and popular, Duke completed a major in English and Psychology at Columbia University intending to follow in the footsteps of her parents and becoming a teacher. Instead, she enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania for Cognitive Psychology.
In 1991, while Duke was knee deep in doctorate research, she proposed marriage to an old friend, Ben Duke, packed up her life and research and left academia behind for Billings, CO. Living in romantic poverty with her husband, Duke began to play poker in local pokers rooms to pay the mortgage on their first home. In 1994, at the suggestion of her brother, famed poker player Howard Lederer, Duke tried her hand at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. She ended up placing 13th in her first tournament, knocking her brother out of play. After winning 70K in her first month of competition, Duke and her husband made the move to Las Vegas so she could pursue poker professionally. Over the course of the next decade, Duke established herself as one of the best poker players in the world. In 2004, Duke beat out an assembly of 234 players in the WSOP $2000 buy-in Omaha Hi/Lo Split and won her first WSOP bracelet. In August of the same year, Duke knocked out 8 of the worlds’ greatest poker legends and won $2 million in the No-Limit Texas Hold’em winner-take-all, invitation-only WSOP Tournament of Champions, established by ESPN and Harrah’s Entertainment. Duke now serves as a consultant for the online poker site UltimateBet.com to ensure that their rules of poker and tournament structure match those you would find in the famous poker rooms of the Las Vegas strip. Furthermore, she is sought after for her vast poker skills and knowledge, coaching the likes of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon on their poker game. In September 2005, Duke’s long awaited autobiography hit the shelves “Annie Duke: How I raised, folded, bluffed, flirted, cursed and won millions at the World Series of Poker”. Written in conjunction with David Diamond, the autobiography highlights the obstacles in Annie’s personal life, with her path to achieve her first WSOP bracelet. Duke has released a series of DVD’s, which include “Annie Duke’s Advanced Texas Hold’em Secrets: How to Beat the Big Boys” in October 2005, “Annie Duke’s Beginner’s Guide To Texas Hold ‘em” and “Annie Duke’s Girl’s Guide To Texas Hold ‘em” both released in January 2006, and the February 2006 release of “Masters of Poker: Annie Duke’s Conquering Online Poker”. Duke has also filmed a pilot called “Annie Duke Takes on the World” which premieres May 1 on GSN. Her production company Ten Dimes Productions, which she started with Joe Reitman, is currently developing a horror film script.
Annie recently appeared on NBC’s hit show Celebrity Apprentice. Duke currently resides in Los Angeles with her four children, Maud, Leo, Lucy and Nelly.
