...Lauren Conrad
Not long ago Lauren Conrad was MTV's reality show darling. Her show "The Hills' was a smash hit and she was selling books and a lifestyle that little tweens wanted. Then she left the show, it ended and now we have Jersey Shore. Due to their success MTV has pulled Lauren's show. Her new show was to premier this year and it was about her launching her fashion company etc. "We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life." Basically what this means is that her show as BORING! Not enough drama! This is what is halting the premiere of the Real Housewives of New York as well. Drama sells, fighting sells, ratings sell ads/ This is something that Lauren knows, but I guess she thought her old brand was still valuable to MTV, not. David Janollari, EVP, Head of Programming for MTV, told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "We decided not to go ahead with the show. She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that's also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network! It was a great attempt but it just didn't feel like a perfect fit for us now." Well Lauren, maybe Bravo or TLC will buy this, until then I am giving you a Digit Down.
