Everyone knows that too much sun is not good for the skin or your overall health. While at the beach a popular pastime is lying out in the sun soaking up some rays. This is what 33 year old Erin Joynt was doing while visiting Florida from Kansas. Unfortunately for her things did not go as planned. Lifeguard Tommy Modrie ran over her in a pickup truck.Erin's head was run over by the truck's right front tire after someone flagged Modrie and told him about broken glass in the sand. I laughed when I first heard about this, I laughed as I wrote this. I do understand that this is no laughing matter, but what are the odds? Modrie has worked as a lifeguard for 5 years and has a spotless record, but he was drug tested and sent home for the day, which is standard procedure. I will ass
ume the woman is safe, as there have been no reports of her death. Still I am giving this and the beach a Digit Down. When will people learn the beach is not as fun as you think.
