...Steve Williams

Tiger Woods' former caddie is still upset about Tiger firing him. How upset is he? So upset that he helped another golfer win a tournament. This is major because Tiger was also in the tournament and it was his first tournament in months after a leg injury. Williams was the caddie for Adam Scott who won the Firestone...golf tournament. Williams stole the show with his interview by saying, "I've been caddying for 33 years and that's the best week of my life ... and I'm not joking. There were a lot of expectations today. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little nervous. Obviously, Adam was leading the tournament and there was a lot being said this week, so it was great to back it up. ... But honestly that's the best week of my life; I've caddied for 33 years, 145 wins now, and that's the best win I've ever had."

What a diss. To be fair who would have known about Williams if it were not for Tiger? It has been said that thanks to Tiger Willaims made around $10 million while caddieing for Tiger, not chump change at all. It is obvious that this friendship will most likely never be mended, and I think that is fine. Tiger will do his thing and Steve his. I do hope that this is the last time we have to heard about Steve dissing Woods though. No matter how you feel about either man what is done is done and you can only bash your former boss so much before people start to look at you as if you deserved to be fired. For now though I ma giving Steve Williams a Digit Up because it seems as if he proved himself to be a good caddie...for now.

...2011 Masters

I watch golf here and there. This weekend though I was tuned in. Tiger is still looking for his 1st win and his 1st Major's win post 2009 Thanksgiving drama. I have to admit that I was cheering for Tiger and hoping that he would come back from 7 strokes back and win. ell he did not win but he did come back and tie for the lead throughout most of his play. He actually have 2 or 3 chances to take the lead with a possible -13, but the ball just did not fall his way. He finished tied for 4th with a -10. Rory McIlroy all but had the championship in his hand, but he had a massive collapse on the 10th hole with a triple bogey and he just could not recover. The winner turned out to be little known Charl Schwartzel from South Africa. It was an exciting game and something that golf really needed in order to capture viewers of all ages. If you saw this Sunday's finale then you know just how exciting it was. Eagles, birdies, chip shots into the hole, long putts going in, it was a great thing to see and a great way to relax on a Sunday. I though t I was going to maybe take a nap, but I was wrong. I am giving the 2011 Masters 2 Digits Up because not only was it exiting it was much more than I expected.

...Elin Nordgren

Talk about a deal... Elin Nordgren just bought a new home in North Palm Beach, Florida, about 10 minutes from Tiger's new home. While his may have cost $50 million and sit on the water, he only boast 10,000 square feet. Elin's new pad cost $12.2 million and boast 17,000 square feet, eight bedrooms and a 4,700-square-foot basement. That is about 10,000 square feet larger than the Windermere home she shared with Tiger, and kept after the divorce, not including the basement, yes there are some basements in Florida, though some are not what you would consider a typical basement. I love the house. It sits on the beach, it is a classic Palm Beach design. I am glad to know that even though she got a $100 million+ settlement she is not out spending it recklessly knowing that she could get more money later from Tiger or a bock deal or a reality television show, etc. I am giving Elin Nordgren a Digit Up for catching a good real estate deal.. Lucky.

...Divorce

In America over 50% of marriages end in divorce, that is a conservative estimate also. Where one ends another begins. Today the papers were signed and sealed and will probably never be seen by the public ever. I am talking about the Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren divorce. They were married in 2004 and now it is over. Of course we all know about the November morning car crash that started this all, well it started it all for us. Tiger allegedly had multiple affairs with up to 19 women. No one knows the final details of the divorce because Elin swore not to say a word, that is in the divorce somewhere. Some report that she could get up to $750 million, which is NOT true, at least I doubt it is, it just would not make sense. Some say it would be more like $100 million, which sounds about right. They will share custody of their 2 children ages 3 and 1, and the rest will be seen. I am sure they are both sad that it had to come to this but now that it is over I guess they are happy to start their new lives. Elin can do whatever she wants now, and Tiger can do whomever he wants and not feel guilty about it. Maybe his golf game will get better, it should.
Now with one divorce over another has just started. After 60 years of marriage, the couple that people thought were already divorced are finally getting one. Joe and Katherine Jackson have decided to end their marriage...WHY? They separated 5 years ago, living in different homes and living different lives. She is 80 and he is 81, not many people are going to be knocking at either of their doors asking for a date, but I doubt that is why this is happening. Katherine did not want to file because of her religious beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness, but after the death of their son Michael Jackson Joe blamed Katherine for his death, that was the last straw. If you have read anything about the Jacksons then you know all about Joe Jackson and his past with the children and his wife. Most people already thought they were divorced. I remember during the Michael Jackson death and funeral coverage many reporters were shocked to find out hat they were still married. But now it is coming to an end. I guess this just shows that you are never too old to do anything. I am giving this all a Digit Up. I would usually give this news a Digit Down but in these 2 cases I think they all would do better not being with each other, although Joe and Katherine only had to stay with each other for a few more years and then...well you know...death is coming soon for one of them.
