Well well well. They have finally had their twins, a baby boy and girl. The baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches. They have not picked out names yet though, so we still have that to look forward to. Apparently Nick drove them both to the hospital in their Rolls Royce, a little detail Mariah's representative threw in there. The babies were born in Los Angeles at 12:07 PM EDT Saturday. Her rep also said they were listening to Carey's "We Belong Together" after the children were born. The babies just happened to be born on the couple's 3rd anniversary and the couple is still expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday.I wish them good luck and I know for a fact their kids will be spoiled with love and material possessions and a lot of magazine covers will be paying big bucks to get th 1st pics of the new family. I am giving Nick and Mariah a Digit Up for their new additions.
If you know me, then you know that babies...kids are not my thing. I have zero and I plan to keep it that way for a long as I live. But for those who have them or just love them I have some alarming, yes alarming, news for you, almost one-third of 9-month-olds are obese or overweight, as are 34 percent of 2-year-olds. 15.2 percent of babies were at-risk and 16.7 percent were obese. Among 2-year-olds, just under 14 percent were at-risk and almost 21 percent were obese.Obesity does not just happen overnight people. Fat kids with fat habits turn into fat teens with fat habits and then they become fat adults on "The Biggest Loser". All jokes aside this is a trend that does not seem to be going away anytime soon. We can sit here and blame everyone except ourselves, but parents, get with it! Feed your kids properly and let them play, play for at least an hour a day. I am just waiting for the day when it becomes normal for 12 year olds to drop dead at school from heart attacks. If a child can eat as much as a fat adult, that is not good. There is no such thing as "healthy" in comparison to wearing a size 38 pants or size 16 dress and you are not old enough to drive. Also remember this, the more fat you have, the faster you will reach puberty. So all of the little 7 year old boys out there with the mini weenie, that will be there for life! Fat around the belly equals estrogen, which means along with the mini weenie you will also get boobies! Try explaining to your 1st girlfriend why you have boobies and a little wiener while s
he is looking at you like you are the rare hermaphrodite. Fathers, your little girls will be hitting puberty at 8, and sexing at 11, pregnant by 13 and fighting for her and the babies life 9 months later. What a wonderful future we will be living in, way to go America! Get fit, get healthy people. Feed your babies properly. Food is not a tool to shut them up when they are crying. I am giving this news a Digit Down.
As my birthday came and went as usual I was not so excited. I am not afraid of death at all, but I am not looking forward to it as well. Why? Failure. Failure to achieve any any of my goals no matter how real or unreal they might have been. Failure is like the death of my soul. It is bad enough that my inner artist is slowly dying daily, but to die and have everything go undone is horrible. Beyond that aging period is not so great. You are older, but how much older do you want to be? You have your 1st birthday, 10th, 13th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th (if you care about renting a car), 30th, 35th (if you want to run for president), 40th, 50th, 65th and everything after that is just inching closer to death. I mean half of those birthdays are not even that major and in my case a lot of them will not be that major. I would not mind getting older if I could see the results of whatever it is that I am doing, but I cannot so I mind. I this pointless stress over something silly? Probably, but it is not my fault. We are pushed from the time we are babies to excel and grow and become the best at whatever we do at an early age. If you can read, you had better be reading at least 2 grade levels ahead of your actual grade or else you may have a learning disorder. If you can talk, you must be able to speak properly and spell properly or else you may have to get speech lessons. By the time you start high school you should already know what you
want to be int he future and if you do not then you might as well get ready to serve burgers to your friends because you are almost an adult and the fun and games are over. What are these fun and games? The games that are education based? The fun that is centered around school? In the future will babies be expected to feed and change themselves? Will children ever be allowed to have true fun and have no 0 worries? I doubt it. We are trying to compete against countries that are trying to compete against us. Countries that excel in certain areas and fail miserably in almost every other category that matters. So aging for me is nothing new. It started as soon as I could walk and talk, that is when the world said you are a big boy, a little man. That is when I was expected to learn and if I was not learning then I was wasting time. You cannot stop aging, but you can hold it off for a little, that is something I wish I could have done then, but now I am on the slippery slope and it is happening fast. I must give aging a Digit Down.
I am not into kids, I do not plan on having an ever and I will medically make that possible if I have to. Apparently due to this "Great Recession" we are in many Americans are thinking the same. Child Births in America are at an all time low, its lowest level in at least a century according to the CDC. As many middle and low income families are struggling with job loss and little or no income, having a child just does not make sense. In the last 3 years birth rates have been steadily falling. Oddly enough Europe's birth rates are climbing and in America women over 40 have are seeing a higher birth rate, because they feel as if they are running out of time, which is true...Jennifer Aniston. This is nothing new though.
During "The Great Depression" birth rates fell sharply and took over a decade to bounce back. I think that this should stick for a while. We do not need more children, we have too many older people around as it is and old plus young equals a lot of tax dollars for things that I cannot see but am told is very important. I do not think we have to limit it to say 1 or 2 kids per family, but I think that we should just maybe consider prolonging this halt on child birth until we sort things out and thin out our herd. I am giving this news a Digit Up.
