Michigan Monday: Updates Recruiting

The recruiting Evaluation Period is now over, meaning the coaches can call recruits and they can visit campus but coaches are not allowed on the road to visit these young men in their homes or schools.

Trending Blue?

  • 4 star offensive lineman Jordan Diamond has been to Michigan a number of times and many expect him to have U of M #1 on his list.  Jordan is expected back in Ann Arbor soon.  Does he want to make a commitment in person?  Let's hope so.

  • Reporters caught up with Ohio DE Chris Wormely again this weekend at a track meet.  He again declared Michigan his leader.   Many expect a decision to come this summer.

  • Ohio Safety Jarrod Wilson is still high on Michigan after his visit last week.  Jarrod has a top 3 of Michigan, ND and Penn State.   A decision could come soon for Jarrod as well.
Visiting Soon

  • One of the top players in the country, California OL Erik Magnuson is visiting Ann Arbor this weekend. Eric is very high on Michigan and if they landed Erik he would be their highest ranked recruit in this class so far.

  • Eric Olson a 6'6 265 pound offensive lineman from Mass. has a new offer from Michigan and visiting Ann Arbor tomorrow.

  • Defensive tackle Jarron Jones is a soft commit to Penn State and will take visits to Notre Dame and Michigan in June.  He seems to love PSU, so don't hold your breathe on this one.

Sorry it didn't work out
  • DB Wayne Morgan wanted to take some visits before he commits and many expect Michigan to be full.

  • CB Armani Reeves has dropped Michigan due to space in the class and has ND and PSU at the top of his list.

2012 Class Getting Stronger?

  • Mario Ojemudia was named to the Army All American game.  This is the second Michigan commit to be named to the game.
