Michigan Friday: Will Michigan solve it's Safety Problem Today?

How far back in history do you have to go remember the last really good Michigan safety?  Jamar Adams is in the NFL.  I would say he was pretty good.  Stevie Brown is listed as a safety and is on the Raiders roster.  Steve struggled at safety at Michigan and really made his mark playing a linebacker hybrid role.

Marlin Jackson is listed as a safety for the Eagles but is really a corner who is getting little older.  Do those count or do you have to go back in your mind to guys like Tripp Welbourne or Markus Ray.

Either way, Jarrod Wilson a 4 star safety who plays for Ricky Powers in Ohio is announcing this afternoon.  He is down to Michigan, ND, and Penn State.  It's between Brady vs JoPA in my mind.  I expect Jarrod to be wearing a Michigan hat around 2:40 on the fact that Greg Mattison just coached Ed Reed.

  • Maty Mauk picked Missouri as his college choice.  Now it seems Michigan will not sign a QB in this class unless Gunner wants to come to Ann Arbor.

  • OSU vacates the 2010 season but doesn't restrict itself from Bowls or the Big Ten Championship game moving forward.  Seems a bit light but I guess that Columbus paper can take done that counter on how many days its been since Michigan beat Ohio State.  Congratulations to Rich Rod on not losing to Ohio State for one year.  :)
