Hoke Gets First Verbal for the 2011 Class

More to come on him but here are the particulars:

Tamani Carter, 3 star DB from Ohio.  He is 6'0, 175 pounds.   He had a nice list of offers that included: Stanford, Iowa, Air Force, Arizona, and was a commitment to Minnesota before picking Michigan today.

Tim Mgoblog has more info on Tamani, which seems like a surprise commit.  Either way, Michigan needs as many DB's as they can get in this class.  His highlights seem pretty solid. and he looks a little bit shorter then 6'0 or 5'11 as the video states.  He seems like a good hitter and might be a safety prospect.  Look for him to redshirt in 2011.

Here are his 2011 stats from Scouts: Tamani Carter finished his senior season (11-1) with 55 tackles and three interceptions. Two of those were returned for touchdowns (one of 96 yards and the other for 34 yards). He also caught 25 balls for over 300 yards
