Michigan Thursday: Updates Recruiting

  • The Chris Bryant race is on, both Pitt and Michigan head coaches will be visiting Chris today.   He is announcing on Friday.  Here is a Detroit News write up on Chris from Sam Webb today.

  • A couple of changes to this weekends visitors.  DB Floyd Raven won't be coming and DT Darin Cooper will be.  This is a very important visit for the Wolverines, they need a DT in this class and Darin seems to be the only DT they have a shot at.  Darin had recently dropped the Wolverines and visited Iowa last weekend.  The Hawkeyes over training problem this week might have an effect on the young man.  A strong visit to Ann Arbor this weekend could put Michigan in the drivers seat for his signature on signing day.  Arizona OL Ryan Nowicki is still considering visiting this weekend.

  • Stefan McClure picked CAL today.  This was not a surprise.  In return, I would like CAL to send Avery Walls to Michigan.  I think it's only fair.

  • As we reported, Brady Hoke will be in home with Jake Fisher today as well.  Michigan is really recruiting Jake and Chris Bryant hard these last few days.  Jake is going to visit Oregon this weekend.  The word is, his family and HS coach wants him to stay instate.  We will see.

  • Michigan plays MSU tonight at East Lansing.  If you don't look directly into the TV it doesn't hurt as much.
