Make It A HatKick - Michigan Gets 3 Commitments Today

Finally a Kicker.

Michigan has gotten a commitment from Matt Wile a kicker from San Diego.  Matt is an Army All American and a kicker that Brady has been recruiting for a couple of years.  For Michigan fans, Matt will be a 5th generation Wolverine in his family.  Matt was planning a Nebraska visit for next weekend but lets hope he cancels that now.  Matt is rated as a two star prospect but star ranking for kickers really don't matter.

His offer list isn't long but did include Air Force, SDSU, Washington and Michigan.  As you know Kickers are usually not the hottest prospects in the world and some programs prefer to use walk-ons then use a scholarship.   Michigan will now have 2 scholarship kickers on the team and of course a scholarship punter.

Matt is known to have a strong leg and I feel pretty confident he is a good kicker with Brady recruiting him for a couple of years.  I also believe that Matt's dad was SDSU team doctor.

Matt also punted in high school which is good if anything happens to Will Hagerup (like the OSU game last year).

With Michigan's current kicking situation, I would expect that Matt is the leader to be Michigan's kicker next year.
